Frequently Asked Questions

Will my child be labeled?
No. BloomBridge is a support tool, not a labeling system. Observations are private to authorized school personnel. No child is labeled, categorized permanently, or stigmatized. The tool helps teachers respond better — it doesn’t define your child.
Who can see my child’s data?
Only authorized school personnel with role-based access. Typically this means your child’s teacher and the school principal. Data is never shared with third parties, never sold, and never used for advertising. The school controls who has access at all times.
Is this a medical diagnosis?
No. BloomBridge is not a diagnostic tool. It does not diagnose mental illness, developmental disorders, or any medical condition. It helps teachers structure their observations and respond with age-appropriate interventions. Only qualified professionals can diagnose conditions.
What if my child needs professional help?
If BloomBridge’s escalation prompts indicate your child may need professional psychological support, the school will guide you to appropriate resources. The school may recommend a child psychologist, counsellor, or specialist. BloomBridge helps identify when professional help is needed — but the referral and decision is always made by the school and you together.
Can I opt my child out?
BloomBridge implementation is a school-level decision. If your school has adopted BloomBridge, speak with the school administration about their specific policies. Most schools use BloomBridge as a teacher support tool, not a child-specific monitoring system. Your concerns should be addressed directly with the school.
How do I talk to the school about this?
Start by asking your child’s teacher or the school principal about how they use BloomBridge. Ask what observations they’ve logged, what action plans have been generated, and what parent communications have been sent. You have the right to understand how the school is using any tool that involves your child. Request a meeting if you need a detailed conversation.
